I read a short article on CNN about a woman who was robbed of her and her husband’s life savings. This 80 year old woman was asked to open the door by a man, age 20-30, holding a bouquet flowers. She thought to herself,
“How can I not open the door? They have flowers, they say [my husband sent] them to me, and, besides, they were young kids,” said Nieves, whose husband was out at the time of the November 3 robbery. Police estimated the suspects were between 20 and 30 years old.
Well the two robbers tied her up and ransacked the house until they found the $60,000. The husband had leaked the information about their nest egg being in the apartment and he thinks that is how anyone knew to rob them.
