Check out the Boost Mobile site. Here’s a company that has determined their demographic and is putting everything they’ve got into it. Heavy into community, entertainment, sports (x-treme & b-ball varieties) and nobody over 30. What’s funny is it’s really Nextel, those bastions of corporate mobile communications. I’m feeling that ol’ generational gap when I think about all the focus groups and professional studies that went into Boost Mobile and their media presence. I wonder if the target demo sees it too?
Makes me feel old & jaded until I watch the ATHF product tie-ins. Then it makes me feel old & jaded but chuckling (in a completely smug, self-satisfying and petty way).
