Another smart car gadget is in the works, this time its a dashboard that switches off the distractions while you drive. We have all seen the cars that brake, steer and park for you, now they turn off your iPods, radios and TVs. Not that you should have televisions in your car, you could end up crying because Dumbo lost his mom and run off the road. Either way, this gadget will come in handy, especially for those parents out there worrying about their 16 year-old driving, fiddling with their iPod, turning the radio on or watching the TV that their parents watched when they last took the Range Rover out.
Research done by a crew at the Technical University of Berlin has shown that a “smart dashboard” could one day deactivate distractions within the vehicle in order to improve driver response if things simply get too hectic.
As for this smart dashboard, does it switch off the screaming kids? To me, that is the biggest distraction, they need to have limo windows options in cars.
